Lib Dem rebel piles in over NHS privatisation

“West Cornwall MP Andrew George declared that the Bill should be “stopped rather than paused.

The Lib Dem added: “Saving the NHS is more important than saving a few egos in the coalition.”

Mr George said the Bill was destined to fail because it undermined the NHS ethos through marketisation and fragmented services, and would hand executive power to a narrow group of clinicians who were reluctant to take on such responsibilities.”
