Minister to work with survivors – Tina Nash

Posted on: 9th December 2025

Justice minister, Alex Davies-Jones MP, was shocked to hear the story of Tina Nash and the poor treatment she received from the justice services. She has promised to follow through with actions and to learn lessons.

Local Liberal Democrat MP, Andrew George, who arranged the meeting with the minister and who accompanied Tina Nash in the House of Commons yesterday thanked the minister for her attention and support.

The minister agreed to make sure that Ms Nash receives full support from the justice services, to review the poor support Tina received from the victim contact scheme, to learn lessons and to improve the service.

Andrew George said, “victims and survivors should be the priority of the justice service. Tina found herself bullied and undermined. She felt that the perpetrator of the appalling attack she survived was given more consideration than she was. It is a shocking case.

“I’m pleased the minister listened and that she will be following up the meeting with further actions and to ensure that the system learns from the appalling experience Tina endured.”
