Psychological Impact of Children in Gaza

The psychological torment inflicted on Gaza’s children is unimaginable. The destruction of all mental health facilities, including Gaza’s only psychiatric hospital, leaves a population already devastated by war without even the most basic support. This is not just a humanitarian crisis—it is a deliberate and systematic assault on the mental wellbeing of an entire people by the far-right Netanyahu regime. 

In case you are not already aware, I have consistently argued that the UK must act with moral clarity, including:  

• Demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire;  

• Ensure the unfettered flow of humanitarian aid, including mental health support;  

• End arms sales to all parties perpetuating this violence;  

• Sanction those who incite or enable such suffering;  

• Support international efforts to hold perpetrators accountable for crimes against humanity.
