JCB in Israeli Settlements

I visited the West Bank a few months ago and was shocked by what I witnessed; including the evident use of JCB machinery as part of action to advance the illegal enforced occupation of Palestinian land. The presence and expansion of these “settlements” is not only a breach of international law, but also a direct assault on the prospects for peace. The increasing violence and dispossession in the West Bank undermines the hope of a viable two-state solution.

It is troubling that British companies may be complicit in this injustice. No UK firm should profit from the displacement of Palestinian families or the destruction of their homes.

Returning to Gaza, the situation is nothing short of catastrophic. The far-right Netanyahu Government’s military campaign has devastated communities already reeling from over 18 months of war. The continued blockade of aid and the use of starvation and death as weapons of war are unconscionable.
