Visit to world leading conservation company

Local MP, Andrew George, will take Europe MP, Sir Graham Watson, to meet the local people behind a world leading marine conservation company, Chelonia Limited, based in Mousehole.

Former local GP, Dr Nick Tregenza, and his son, Professor T B Tregenza, run Chelonia Limited from The Barkhouse at North Cliff in Mousehole. There they manufacture acoustic monitoring instruments that detect dolphins, porpoises and toothed whales using sonar technology. They also provide a consultancy, research support and training workshops for marine ecologists.

Liberal Democrat MEP, Sir Graham Watson, has been championing the cause of marine conservation during his time at the European Parliament and will be welcomed at Chelonia by Dr Nick Tregenza.

They will visit the company in Mousehole at 12 noon on Friday 21st February 2014.
