Treasury Minister confirms that “being Cornish” helps the economy

Local MP, Andrew George, has asked the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Rt. Hon Danny Alexander MP, to delegate Government powers to Cornwall so that Cornwall can more efficiently run its European Funding Programme over the next six years.

Mr Alexander confirmed that Cornwall’s recent recognition under the European Framework Convention will assist that case.
