Commenting on the PM’s decision to stop tomorrow’s “meaningful vote” on the EU withdrawal agreement Andrew George said “the Government is clearly incapable of governing”.

“This paralysis cannot continue. Parliament is (collectively) procrastinating.

“This has become a national farce. The Conservatives have made the UK the laughingstock of the world.

“As Parliament is incapable of making a decision, the choice must be given to the people. Either a general election or a people’s vote on the final deal (and any plausible alternatives).”
