St Ives MP Andrew George has welcomed the passing of the Bill designed to create a supermarket watchdog. The Groceries Code Adjudicator Bill was passed without a vote on Monday night after receiving support from MPs on all sides. The Bill will now progress to Committee stage before coming before the Commons once more to be passed into law.

Andrew George chairs the Grocery Market Action Group which has been pressing for this legislation for the past seven years.
