Round Table Discussion with Post Bank Coalition

Posted on: 14th July 2011

On  Thursday 14th July, Mr. Andrew George MP attended a roundtable discussion with the Post Bank Coalition to discuss their new report concerning their call for the establishment of a Post Bank.

The recently released report, Banking for the Future, outlines the Post Bank Coalition’s calls for the government to set up a Post Bank. The report makes the case for a National Post Bank to be set up by the Post Office, which will create a sustainable future for one of “our most trusted institutions” and offer “real diversity in banking provision.”  The event will offer MP’s and other attendees the opportunity to debate the issue.

Mr. George has previously campaigned to maintain rural access to post office services in constituencies such as his own.
