Rev Julyan Drew
I recently attended the funeral of a wonderful man who was taken before his time. Universally loved, enormously admired. He was a modern day and real life Poldark of our time. A man who stood up for the wider community and advocated for the interests of the meek. He set a standard we ought all attempt to emulate. Most in the Penzance and Newlyn area will know who I mean. Many will have been amongst the more than one thousand people who crammed into the Church, church Hall, car park and roadside at Paul last week for Rev Julyan Drew’s exceptional funeral service. Time seemed to stop. Grief interrupted by reminders of his mischievous good humour.
