Public health before libertarians

Praise and support for the Government. I welcome Ministers’ apparent change of direction. To consider reintroducing some mandatory measures, including mask wearing in enclosed public places and on public transport, and vaccine passports in some limited circumstances.

I applaud their preparedness to face down extreme libertarians in their Party and even those in other Parties including my own who hold the misguided view that there’s a civil liberties issue which should take precedence over public health safety concerns.
