“It proves that dunkey drops still take wickets!”

Andrew George gratefully received the trophy for the best bowler in the Leedstown Cricket Club 1XI again at the Club’s end of season awards event at the weekend (topping the team’s bowling averages for the 28 wickets he took during the season).  The 55 year old occasional 1st team Captain has taken the crown on three occasions before.  Leedstown play in Cornwall Division III West where they had a “mixed” season!

Mr George said, “Younger players may rib me for being the oldest player in the team, but they can’t ignore the facts!  It proves that dunkey drops still take wickets!”
