The Politics of Hope; from opposition to electoral success in west Cornwall. Can the Tories be defeated?

Congratulations to those Labour members, the Green Party, Women’s Equality Party, Mebyon Kernow, Liberal Democrats and those with no Party affiliation for turning up at what turned out to be a meeting of like minds – St John’s Hall, Pz, this week.

Well chaired by recently retired RCHT Consultant Physician Dr David Levine.

The Conservatives hold all three west Cornwall Parliamentary seats with the support of just one in three local electors!

A divided opposition helped the Conservatives grasp power again with minority support.

Pity that there was no Labour rep on the panel. But there was much positive to take from the meeting and a willingness to put tribalism aside to work for the greater good…
