“Older people’s Day Centres have important role to play” – George

Andrew George visits Pengarth Day Centre

 

Following his visit to Pengarth Day Centre in Penzance today, Mr George congratulated the charity that runs the Centre, and the Town Council for its vital support.

Mr George said: “It’s clear that the Day Centre provides a very important service to a large number of older people in the area.  The problems of isolation amongst older people is very high.  With social care budgets being cut, that problem will become greater, unless we can find ways of supporting centres like Pengarth.”
