MP officiates at Country Market re-launch

Local MP, Andrew George, will officiate at the re-launch of the Country Market in Penzance today (Thursday 17th April) at 10.30am.

Mr George, who is a strong supporter of local produce and local markets, is encouraging people to support the Country Market while it is in its temporary home at the Acorn Theatre.

Mr George said: “I’m aware that, whilst St John’s Hall is out of action, whilst undergoing a major refurbishment, the many community groups who use the Hall, will be in temporary accommodation in a variety of different community buildings around town. The Country Market is certainly deserving of support and I hope that they will continue to drive customers into the town. There’s some excellent homemade and local produce and it’s a wonderful way to use the now rejuvenating Acorn Theatre.”
