Meeting With Greek Ambassador To The UK

Today, Andrew George MP, will be meet with the Greek Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Aristidis Sandis.

Mr George chairs Marbles Reunited, a UK national campaign for the reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures. The British Museum currently holds half of the sculptures – also known as the ‘Elgin Marbles’ – and has had them on permanent public display since 1817.

Mr George is also taking a close interest in the current challenges faced by the Greek government in attempts to control its public sector deficit.
