Meeting with Concern Worldwide

On Wednesday 13th July, Andrew George MP will be meeting with members of Concern Worldwide.

Concern Worldwide have been campaigning since 2008 to draw attention to the plight of marginalised smallholder farmers, and proposed solutions to governments and donors to reduce rural poverty and hunger. According to a recent report entitled “Unheard Voices”, marginal farmers represent around half of the world’s estimated 925 million undernourished people.

Mr George was formerly Shadow Secretary of State for International Development and maintains a strong interest in the field.
