
Leedstown CC prepares for new season
Leedstown Cricket Club is looking forward to the new season, starting next month. It has two teams in Divisions 4 and 6. Leedstown are also looking for new players (men and women) to join a cheerful and competitive club.
The Club has a greed a new sponsorship arrangement with SEF (Southern England Farmers) which is based opposite their ground.
Club Captain, Luke Stuckey, is determined to see the club perform well and is supported by Vice captain Scott Abrahams.
Andrew George, the Club’s Asst Sec. will take part in his 52nd season in Cornish Cricket (having first played for Mullion at the age of 8! “I’m keen to make way for younger players, but we aren’t recruiting enough of them at the moment”, he said.

Last year Luke was the higher scorer in the league with 889 runs at an average of 52 and a highest innings of 104 in his 19 innings. Andrew topped the bowling averages for the 1st team (3rd in the league) with an average of 10.32 for his 28 wickets, a best of 6 for 11 and 2 hat tricks during the season.
