George to attend Pasty March
Andrew George MP has been invited to take part in a protest march in Falmouth at the weekend over proposals to introduce a Pasty Tax.
Mr George is urging the Chancellor to respect the Cornish Pasty’s special status by exempting it from the extended VAT rules on “hot takeaway food”.
He is also encouraging local people to respond to the Government’s “Pasty Tax” proposals by responding to the Government’s consultation before the deadline on 4th May.
The march is due to take place on Sunday 29th April 2012 at 2pm and will start from The Moor. Mr George is one of the invited speakers.
