George responds to growing demand to see him

Posted on: 24th October 2013

West Cornwall MP, Andrew George, is increasing the number of casework surgeries he holds and is extending them to other venues across the constituency in order to meet the growing demand.

Mr George, who already regularly holds surgeries in Penzance, St Ives and Helston, will now also be available to meet with constituents in Mullion, St Just, Porthleven and potentially other locations, if these prove helpful.

Mr George will be holding a casework surgery at the Women’s Institute Hall in Nansmellyon Road, Mullion, on Saturday 26th October 2013 from 10.15am.

Although all of the pre-booked appointments have already been filled, Mr George is happy to stay on to meet any constituents following this session from about 11.30am.

Mr George said, “It’s always good to have the chance to come back to the village of my birth and upbringing. Demand for appointments at casework surgeries is increasing and I wanted to offer more opportunities as far as I can.

“Although I cannot offer any more booked pre-appointments I hope that I may have got to the end of these by around 11:30am and will stay for as long as is necessary. I will be supported by a volunteer who can advise anyone coming how long they may have to wait, so I hope this will not cause inconvenience.”
