Local MP, Andrew George, met with Anna Soubry MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Health, yesterday to discuss the need for earlier cancer screening.

Mr George was joined by his constituent Sandra Cousins – the mother of Mercedes Curnow who lost her fight against cervical cancer at the age of 23 – when they meet the Minister in the Department of Health.

Mr George has already raised the issue of cervical screening for the under 25’s with Ministers and has supported the petition delivery of 100,000 signatures.
