EDM | NHS Whistleblowing

Andrew George MP has signed EDM number 2031 in 2010-11, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 05/07/2011.

The motion reads,

That this House welcomes the Private Eye, Shoot the Messenger articles, on how NHS whistleblowers can be silenced and sacked; anticipates effective action by the Health Select Committee and the NHS; and calls for an active central unit to which concerned clinicians can put areas and points that worry them, including details of inappropriate disciplinary action by health employers.
