Deputy Prime Minister Questions

Posted on: 7th July 2011

On the afternoon of Tuesday 5th July, Andrew George MP  joined the Oral Questions session in the House, where he  asked a question of  the Deputy Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Nick Clegg.

Mr George  asked the Deputy Prime Minister what assessment he has made of the recent debates in both Houses on his proposals for House of Lords reform.

Last week, Mr George took part in the House of Commons debate on the proposed reforms to the House of Lords, raising his concerns that regardless of the final composition, it should be firmly decided what function any reformed House of Lords should have before becoming preoccupied about how its members got there.
