Cornwall’s Conservative MPs voted again last week to cut Government money to Cornwall Council

Posted on: 14th February 2019

That’s an 88% cut in core Government funding to Cornwall Council since 2015! £120 million in 2015. Just £14 million this year.

When your Council Tax bill goes up above inflation again and public services – social care, buses, schools, public toilets, car parks etc – are cut or go up in price that’s why. MPs may complain about such things as bus service cuts when they’re here but cut the essential funding to support them when they’re up there.
