Christmas message to the Scillies

Local MP, Andrew George, has circulated a newsletter to residents on the Isles of Scilly. The newsletter covers a wide range of news from Parliament on the recent announcement on the Fuel Duty rebate (exclusively for the Isles of Scilly), the victory in the campaign to protect the helicopter service from an Air Passenger tax, up-to-date news on progress for harbour improvements at both St Mary’s and Penzance, news on plans to make the Isles of Scilly the best connected islands in the world under the superfast broadband roll out over the next couple of years and many other news items.

Mr George said, “There has been so much going on and so much news to impart that I felt it was right to put it all together in a short news sheet for the benefit of islanders. I’m already getting good feedback from the Islands, which is much appreciated.”
