Cancer Research UK Event

On Tuesday 12th July, Andrew George MP will attend an event hosted by Cancer Research UK.

The event will allow Mr George to meet representatives from Cancer Research UK based in the South West. Every day around 80 people in the South West are diagnosed with cancer, and last year Cancer Research UK spent £1.8 million in the South West on a wide range of research activities into many different types of cancer. The event will also feature information from the charities Chief Executive on the impact and contribution of charitable medical research to the UK economy.

Mr George is a member of the Parliamentary Health Select Committee, and has recently raised concerns about the government’s response to the NHS Future Forum report.
