Brexit – Putting our planet first – public meeting

Posted on: 25th April 2019

What will Brexit mean for our environment? Would the UK be better on its own? Or is it better to cooperate – on environmental protection and combating climate change – across Europe?

These and other questions will be discussed at a further public meeting I’ve organised to take place on Wednesday 1st May. Arranged to inform and engage local people about the impact/opportunities ahead. It’s at 7.30pm in St John’s Hall Penzance. With guest speaker Molly Scott-Cato (Green Party MEP) and Cllr Sue James (Environment Portfolio – Cornwall Council). Caroline Voaden the Liberal Democrats’ top European Parliament candidate will also join us. As usual I’ve invited the local Conservative MP to come or to send a representative. I’ve also invited the Labour Party Parliamentary candidate in Camborne, but he’s not available.

I’ve organised 7 previous public events to inform and debate Brexit.

I hope you can make it.
