ANDREW GEORGE MP CONSTITUENCY MEETINGS AND VISITS
On Friday 17th October 2014, West Cornwall MP, Andrew George, is meeting and attending the following:-
9am: Visit to Newlyn School to discuss the role and responsibility of being an MP in Cornwall.
10am: Visit to Barclays Penzance branch to meet Julia Husband, Head of Corporate Relations, South West Group, Barclays and also Barclays Penzance branch staff. Mr George has asked the Banks to do more to support local business. He will receive a briefing on Barclays activities in the local area.
11.30am: Meeting with Devon and Cornwall police (Penzance Police Station representatives) at Mr George’s Constituency Office. Mr George has raised concerns with local police chiefs on the support for the CCTV system, drug crimes and many specific issues on constituency casework. He will be meeting with Inspector Jean Phillips and Superintendent Jim Pearce to discuss local issues.
3.30pm: Meeting with Penzance Harbour & Sea Front Working Group at Mr George’s Constituency Office. Mr George pulled together this group – led by Former College Principal Jonathan Burnett and with representatives from Cornwall and Penzance Town Council – to drive the process for an offshore breakwater and future investment in the harbour area.
6pm: Attending a reception at Tate St Ives to celebrate the opening of the Winter Season at Tate St Ives.
ANDREW GEORGE MP CASEWORK SURGERY – ZENNOR
West Cornwall MP, Andrew George, will hold a casework surgery in Zennor on Friday 24th October 2014.
Venue: Village Hall, Zennor
Time: 10.30am until 12.30pm
