Barclays Bank, Penzance branch visit (Friday 17th October)
West Cornwall MP, Andrew George, visited Barclays Penzance branch to meet staff along with Julia Husband, SW Head of Corporate Relations.
During his visit he viewed the revamped facilities and was briefed on the Bank’s business lending and development of customer services in the local area.
Mr George said, “It’s helpful to catch up with Bank staff and managers. Business lending and customer services are matters often raised by local constituents. The Banks still have a way to go to restore the confidence lost in recent years and it’s clear that local staff are working hard to achieve that.”
Beach clean events (Sunday 19th October)
West Cornwall MP, Andrew George, visited to support two beach cleaning events in Sunday morning Oct 19th: at Lowland Point, Coverack and at Praa Sands.
The events were supported by Lizard Adventure (Lowland Point) and by the National Trust and Surfers Against Sewage.
