Affordable Homes Alliance Launch Event

This afternoon, Wednesday 29th June, the Member for the West Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Constituency of St Ives, Andrew George MP, attended the launch of a new campaign by the Affordable Homes Alliance, called Housing Voice.

Housing Voice aims to highlight growing concern about the supply of secure, good quality housing available to people on low to middle incomes. The campaign will work to build and demonstrate the broadest possible support in favour of urgent Government action to deliver more affordable housing.

Mr George has long campaigned for improvements in affordable home building in Cornwall, arguing that whilst the housing stock in Cornwall has doubled in the last 40 years, the problem of local people not being able to afford homes has worsened.
